Hi,
Ålesund Stringquartet will play Omenås Stringquartet in Ålesund, 25th of September.
Stian Around a Hill Q - studio in October.
"Tuuut" and "Null til tull", are two new projects for school concerts in Norway.
Will conduct different concerts with Filmmusic this autumn.

Hi,
New Music at this website now: "Stian Around a Hill Quartet", my new quartet playing my compositions.
Omenås Music Festival in Valldal, west of Norway: 6.-7. Of June.
Touring autumn 2008 with "Stian Around Q", Send in the Clowns and Bungalow.
2009: New project touring Schools in Norway, with Inger Bakke (teather/voice) and Audun Skorgen (bass). / Recording CD with Terje Engen (drummer/composer).
Concerts in Indian with tabla player Jai Shankar. More information is coming.
Ålesund Stringquartet are playing my Stringquartet in Ålesund, 8th Of June.
Working with a new compositions for windquintet and modern dans in Berlin i August.

Hi,
A new electro/rock/jazz project, played a very nice concert in Bergen the 1th of December. The day after we worked in the studio. The musicians was SO, Håvard Stubø, DJ Don Tomaso, Roger Arntzen and Ole Thomas Kolberg. More info from this project will come.
Omenås Musicfestival arr, 6.-7th Of June 2008 in Valldal (N). Young professional musicians playing jazz, improvised music, classical and pop. One of the worlds most beautiful playses, with the famous "Trollstigen" and "Geiranger", on the top of UNESCO-list.
Working with a big arranging job for the singer Garry Kilby. Composing stringquartett anf filmscore for 2008. In February I have two weeks in a artist apartment in Paris (F) to finish this work.
Playing with The Grovve Ex and Omar in Oslo the 7th Of December, and conducting Drammens and Bestum Windorchestra in Christmasconcerts.

Thanks to Ungjazz in Ålesund for the prize: young norwegian jazzmusicians of the year 2007.
September was a great month with a lot of concerts in Norway. Håvard Volden (guitar), Erik Nylander (drums) in my trio. Øyvind Skarbø (drums) in different projects in duo, trio and quartett.
My soloCD is ready in the start of 2008. In May I will visit Vienne, Amsterdam, Berlin and Roma for concerts. Hope to see you there !  |

Omenås Music Festival 2007 is finish. It was a great arrangement, and thanks to all artists, family and friends. Next year we will selebrate the Festivals 5th year.
As a artist, composer and conductor, I was winning a big stipend from Sparebanken Møre, cald "GNIST" this summer. This is great for for me, and I will use some of this money on some recordings and conduction clinics the next year. More information at www.sbm.no. |

Hello. Its raining a lot in norway this days. My trip to Rome, Venice, Vienna, Budapest and Berlin in June was a lot better.
I will play some concerts with Håvard Volden (guitar) this days before my Omenås Musicfestival come, 13th and 14th Of July. Young jazz and classical musicians will play two days with concerts in Valldal, my hometown in the west part of Norway.
My conducting is also going well, and new projects is coming up in the autumn and spring. One of them is with the great tablaplayer Jai Shankar and Drammens Jerns Musikkorps. I will compose this music for the concert that will take plays in March 2008.
